Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical semiconductor device in which fluorescence detection efficiency and detection accuracy are improved.SOLUTION: An optical semiconductor device (1) includes an LED structure (3a) that generates excitation light, and a PD structure (4a) that absorbs the fluorescence occurring from the skin by the radiation of excitation light, the LED structure (3a) and the PD structure (4a) being formed on a sapphire substrate (2). On an incident plane side of the PD structure (4a), upon which fluorescence is made incident, an optical filter (47) is disposed that allows the fluorescence selectively to pass through it.
