Title:
HAND-DRIVEN SPINNING TOP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2014136118
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand-driven spinning top which is composed only of a rigid rotation body in a shape of an acute-angle cone, and which is rotated by striking a peripheral surface with a finger.SOLUTION: A spinning top 1 is used for a game by giving a rotation force to a substantially conical rigid rotation body which will have a certain moment of inertia when its peripheral surface is stricken with a finger. The spinning top is composed only of a substantially conical rigid rotation body 2 whose tip is acute angled. The rigid rotation body 2 is formed to be a hollow conical body by peripheral walls tapering off downward, and a closed end part in a lower end side of the peripheral walls is formed to be a vertical angle part 2b. An outer peripheral surface of a large diameter part is formed as a striking part 4 to be stricken with a finger, a cone angle θ of the vertical angle 2b of the rigid rotation body is formed to be equal to or greater than 20° and equal to or smaller than 45°, and an outer peripheral surface part near the vertical angle part 2b is formed as a friction part 8 of a curved surface protruding outward, thereby allowing the rigid rotation body 2 to be rotated by striking the striking part 4 with a finger so as to rotate the rigid rotation body 2 when the rigid rotation body 2 stays falling on a game surface.
