Abstract:
To provide an optical sorter having high detection accuracy of an inspection object falling from the bottom edge of a chute; and to provide an optical sorting method.SOLUTION: An optical sorter 1 includes a chute 2 for allowing downward flow of an inspection object A, and optical detection means 3 for detecting the inspection object A falling from the bottom edge of the chute 2 on a detection position O on a falling locus L. In the optical sorter 1, the detection position O is provided in the range from the bottom edge of the chute 2 to the maximum setting length which is a length of the diameter along a falling direction from the chute 2 of the inspection object A.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
