Title:
ORAGANIC FIELD EMISSION ELEMENT AND ORGANIC FIELD EMISSION PANEL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3389653
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the stable brightness of specific level in relation to temperature change by determining the drive current as well as the voltage of an emission element as well as an emission panel by means of detected temperature value.
CONSTITUTION: A positive electrode 2 consisting of metal such as gold, silver and palladium, a metal oxide such as the oxide of indium/tin, and conductive high polymer, etc., is provided on a substrate 1 of quartz or glass plate. Aromatic amine compound, a silazane compound, etc., is used for a hole transfer layer 3 on the positive electrode. Aromatic compound, cyclopentadiene, etc., is used for an emission layer 4. A metal of low work function is preferred for a negative electrode 5 for injecting electron into the layer 4. Emission brightness can be stabilized in relation to the change in surrounding temperature by determining the drive voltage or the drive current of this organic field emission element as well as an organic field emission panel based on the output value from a temperature detector and a temperature detection circuit provided in the vicinity of the element and the panel.
