Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide oral compositions that can inhibit the formation of a sulfur-containing compound, reduce mouth odor and gingivitis, reduce the formation of dental caries, inhibit the formation of dental plaque, and reduce the formation of dental plaque and calculus, and to provide methods of use thereof.SOLUTION: An oral composition comprises a first component comprising at least one E-raising compound and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, and a second component comprising at least one zinc compound, cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC) as an antimicrobial agent, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The E-raising compound is selected from hydrogen peroxide, fermentative sugar, an oxy halogenated compound, a redox buffer with biological adaptability, and these combinations.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
