PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic compound which selectively inhibits PDE1 activity.SOLUTION: There is provided a 3-(alkylthio)-2H-[1,2-a]pyrazolo[4,3,-e]pyrimidine-4(5H)-one derivative represented by the formula I in a free form or a salt form. [R1 represents H or an alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms;R4 represents H; R2 and R3 each independently represent H or an alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms; R2 is H; R3 and R4 together form a di-, tri-or tetramethylene bridge; R5 is a benzyl having a pyridyl bonded to N of a pyrazolo at the 4-position.]SELECTED DRAWING: None
