Abstract:

To provide an organic EL element and an organic EL display allowing satisfactory suppression of a driving voltage.

The organic EL element 9 comprises a pair of electrodes 2, 4 opposed to each other, and an organic layer 3 disposed between the electrodes 2, 4 and containing a non-conjugated polymer having a structural unit represented by formula (1). In formula (1), L1 and L2 each represent a divalent organic group; X1 represents an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, an aryl group, an aryloxy group, a heterocyclic group, a halogen atom, a cyano group, a hydroxyl group or an amino group; a represents an integer of 0 to 8; k and m each represent 0 or 1 and (k+m) is 1 or more; and n represents an integer of 1 or more.
