PURPOSE: To obtain an electroluminescent element having excellent durability and an excellent charge transport capacity which can not be attained by none of known electroluminescent elements.
CONSTITUTION: This electroluminescent element is produced by using a quinoxaline derivative represented by the formula (wherein X is a 2-5C alkyl or the like; and R1 to R8, which are independent of each other, are each H, a halogen, a 1-6C alkyl or the like).
