To provide high emitted light luminance with application of low voltage by composing an electron injection layer of the inorganic compound, and including the organic luminescent material having a specified electron mobility and a specified hole mobility in the organic luminescent layer.
A positive electrode layer, an organic luminescent layer, an electron injection layer and a negative electrode layer are laminated in order on a substrate so as to form an organic EL element. The electron injection layer is composed of the inorganic compound (Li2O, CaO, LiF, CaF2 or the like), and the organic luminescent layer includes the organic luminescent material having electron mobility (μe) and hole mobility (μh) satisfying an expression μe≥1×10-7 cm2/V.s, μn>μe>μh/1000. The organic luminescent layer includes at least one of the aromatic compound having a styryl group expressed with a formula [Ar1 means an aromatic group having 6-40 carbon, Ar2, Ar3, Ar4 respectively means a hydrogen atom or an aromatic group having 6-40 carbon, and at least one of Ar1, Ar2, Ar3, Ar4 is an aromatic group, and the number of condensation (n) is an integer 1-6].
