An organic transistor has an organic semiconductor layer which includes at least one kind of compound represented by general formula (1). In the formula, X1-X16 independently respectively represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a straight chain, branched or annular alkyl group, a straight chain, branched or annular alkoxy group, or a substituted or nonsubstituted aryl group, and the ring A represents a substituted or nonsubstituted benzene ring, a substituted or nonsubstituted naphthalene ring, a substituted or nonsubstituted thiophene ring, or a substituted or nonsubstituted benzo[b] thiophene ring, and n represents 0 or 1.
