To provide a method for dehydrating/drying organic waste under reduced pressure, in which a free amino acid is kept while preventing excessive energy supply by correctly grasping the temperature in a dryer and controlling the calorie to be supplied for heating the dryer by using the grasped temperature.
The vacuum dryer is operated at the preset drying temperature by detecting the temperature at the bottom of the vacuum dryer, controlling the calorie to be supplied for heating the vacuum dryer according to the detected temperature and maintaining the drying temperature to keep the free amino acid. As the object to be dried, the crushed solid content is prepared by crushing the organic waste to be preset/tested, subjecting the crushed waste to solid-liquid separation and removing the oil content, salt content and soluble starchy content being inhibitory substances when the crushed waste is dried or fabricated into animal food or fertilizer. The abnormality of a temperature detector can be detected by measuring the temperature at the bottom of the dryer by using a plurality of temperature detectors and calculating the temperature difference among the temperature detectors.
