To provide an organic waste treatment apparatus equipped with an auger as a stirring means.

A drying tank 6 is provided at a position adjacent to a treatment tank 5 for fermenting organic waste 2. The stirring means 11 is arranged in the drying tank 6 and a heater 23 is attached to the bottom part of the drying tank 6. An introducing shutter 21 is opened to dry the organic waste 2' in the treatment tank 5 wherein fermentation treatment is completed, and the organic waste 2' is dried in the drying tank 6 while stirred by the stirring means 11 and heated by the heater 23. The stirring means 11 is equipped with a rotary shaft 32 arranged in the direction crossing the longitudinal direction of the treatment tank 5 at a right angle and a large number of paddles 8 provided to the rotary shaft 32. By this constitution, the small-sized organic waste treatment apparatus 1 equipped with the drying tank 6 can be provided.
