Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outboard engine capable of using an engine commonly for a catalyst mounted model and a catalyst non-mounted model, and significantly reducing a weight when a catalyst is not mounted, compared to a weight when the catalyst is mounted.SOLUTION: An exhaust manifold includes a first passage, a second passage, and a third passage. the first passage is connected to plural exhaust ports, and extends in a vertical direction. The second passage is connected to the first passage. The third passage is connected to a lower end of the first passage. A fourth passage is connected to the exhaust manifold, and exhaust air emitted from the exhaust manifold to outside passes through the fourth passage. The first passage extends to a lower side than a first opening connected to an exhaust port of a lowermost cylinder. A second opening is formed on the second passage. A third opening is formed on the third passage. The third passage is connected to the fourth passage via the third opening. The second opening is covered with a first lid body, so as to block circulation of the exhaust air through the second passage.
