To provide an air conditioner conserving energy by effectively using heat disposed without being used when heating cooled air to the same or substantially the same temperature as a suction temperature.
The air conditioner is provided with blowers 5 and 6, a compressor 1, a drive unit 7 driving driven apparatuses, and an indoor heat exchanger 4. It is provided with a first heat exchanger 8 passing a heating medium absorbing heat effused from the drive unit 7, a second heat exchanger 9 arranged in the air downstream of the indoor heat exchanger 4 and heating air from the indoor heat exchanger 4, and heating medium communicating means 25 and 26 for passing the heating medium between first heat exchanger 8 and the second heat exchanger 9. Air cooled and dehumidified by the indoor heat exchanger 4 is heated by the second heat exchanger 9 by using the heat effused from the drive unit 7.
