Abstract:
PURPOSE:To limit the height of engine at low height and prevent a decreasing of limited number of rotations in a dynamic valve system by a method wherein an additional rocker arm is applied to an original rocker arm which is constituted as an end pivot type. CONSTITUTION:One end of a rocker arm 4 is supported by a rush adjuster 2, the other end of the rocker arm 4 operates a valve 7. Another rocker arm 12 is arranged substantially in a horizontal orientation at the rear part of the rocker arm 4 and the rocker arm 12 is operated by a cam 8. The cam 8 can be set at a lower position and an amount of projection of the rocker arm 4 and others is decreased less than that of the usual type. The rocker arm 12 is light in weight, its rotary moment of inertia is low and a slight influence is applied to the limited number of rotation of the dynamic valve system.
