Abstract:
To provide a method for smelting a nickel oxide ore capable of efficiently producing a high-quality metal.SOLUTION: A method for smelting a nickel oxide ore includes: a mixture step of obtaining a mixture containing a nickel oxide ore and a first reductant; and a reduction step of charging the mixture into a reduction furnace and applying a reduction treatment to the mixture so as to obtain a reduced product containing a metal and a slag. The reduction step includes inputting a second reductant being an additional reductant into the reduction furnace, applying a reduction treatment and controlling an input amount of the second reductant according to an analysis result of the metal being a reduced product discharged from the reduction furnace.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
