PURPOSE: To stop the transmission of the next data by generating a control signal when the error of received data is detected, and controlling a transmission request signal generating operation corresponding to the control signal.

CONSTITUTION: When the serial data transferring device is turned to reception enable state, a transmission request signal requesting the transmission of data is generated from a transmission request signal generation part 27 and outputted to the transmission side. This signal is received and stored while being shifted by a reception shifter 21. In this case, the parity attribute of received data for one piece of data is detected by an attribute detection part 26, and the detected result is sent to a control signal generation part 28. When the occurrence of attribute error is detected corresponding to this detected result, the control signal for stopping a transmission requesting operation is generated and sent to the transmission request signal generation part 27 by a control signal generation part 28. Since the transmission request signal generation part 27 received with this control signal stops the generating operation of the transmission request signal, the transmission request signal of the next data is not sent to the transmission side.
