To provide a package bag for microwave cooking which is capable of sufficiently steaming a packaged food while sufficiently retaining steam generated from the food and facilitating the taking-out of the food.
This package bag 1 for microwave cooking includes a back seal portion 20 formed by heat-sealing a pair of parallel edges on one surface of a rectangular resin sheet 10, and edge seal portions 30a, 30b formed of heat-sealing edges of the resin sheet 10 so that the edge seal portions intersect the back seal portion 20. The resin sheet 10 is provided with a substrate and a heat-seal layer, and the back seal portion 20 is provided with a seal break start portion 21 at the end thereof. At least one seal break aid portion 40 formed by linearly cutting the substrate is provided on each side of the back seal portion 20 in the resin sheet 10 on the surface having the back seal portion 20. The seal break aid portion 40 is arranged ahead in the advancing direction of the tear generated when the seal is broken from the seal break start portion 21.
