Abstract:
To provide a packaged coin processor and a packaged coin processing method that can detect any wrong type of tray attached to an enclosure of a packaged coin storage device.SOLUTION: A packaged coin processor 10, which is detachable from an enclosure (machine frame 23), includes: a plurality of storage units (tray 25) for storing packaged coins by denomination; detection means 61 that scans the packaged coins stored in each storage unit; and a control unit 100 that determines whether the correct type of storage unit is installed in the enclosure. Each storage unit has a characteristic portion that is detected by the detection means 61. The control unit 100 determines whether the correct type of storage unit is installed in the enclosure based on the detection result of the characteristic portion being detected by the detection means 61.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
