Abstract:
To provide a method for enabling the production of a recombinant retrovirus (retrovirus vector particles) from safer producer cells and a higher titer than a normal value.
This method is to produce a recombinant retrovirus. The method comprises producing gag, pol and env proteins from a large cell line infected with a recombinant virus capable of producing the proteins and bringing a virus vector RNA, a tRNA, a liposome and a cell extract supplementing the deficient function for a particle assembly into contact with the proteins in order to produce the recombinant retrovirus carrying the virus vector RNA.
