To provide a packaging container, in which an article or a bearing member for the article is encased by an easy operation.
The packaging container A1 is made of a flexible sheet material, and has a container body 1 with a handle. The container body 1 has a bottom wall, and four side walls 6, 7, which are formed to stand against the bottom wall on its periphery. A support hole 25, in which the article H or the bearing member U is fitted to be supported, is formed in the center of the bottom wall. Two support strips 3, which support the bottom wall to keep it afloat above a container bearing surface, are formed consecutively on the periphery of the support hole 25 of the bottom wall via folds, where the support strips 3 are folded to project downward from the folds. A support member 20 is mounted on the support strips 3 to keep the support strips 3 projecting downward.
