Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain black toner excellent in spectral reflection characteristics and electrification property which gives good black picture images by incorporating a specified pigment and a specified compd.
CONSTITUTION: The toner contains at least three kinds of compds. selected from phthalocyanine blue pigment, disazo yellow pigment, azo red pigment and quinacridone red pigment and contains a compd. expressed by formula I. The amt. of the pigment and the compd. of formula I is 2-20 pts.wt., preferably 3-15 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of the binder resin. The add amt. of the compd. of formula I is ≤5 pts.wt., preferably 0.1-3 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of the binder resin. The binder resin is preferably styrene-acrylate resin, styrene-methacrylate resin, or polyester resin. Thereby, the obtd. black toner can reflect or transmit near infrared light with high sensitivity.
