Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet transmission reception processing unit that is suitable for an Asynchronous Connection.
SOLUTION: In the case a packet processing control circuit 20 at a consumer side cannot process a received packet within a prescribed time, a packet processing control timer 22 detects expiration of time and informs a CPU about it. The CPU gives a packet processing temporary stop instruction and a packet transmission instruction to the packet processing control circuit 20 via a register 21. The packet processing control circuit 20 temporarily stops the packet processing processed at present to generate a header and data of a WRS packet. The control circuit 20 gives the WRS packet to a producer side through a bus 1. Thus, the packet can be processed without causing expiration of time to the producer.
