To obtain an inexpensive packing cord storage container with which a rolled packing cord can be easily moved to a location of use and used there without getting twined, and the cord is easy to draw out and can be easily cut in a predetermined size.

The packing cord storage container consists of a storage container body with an upper part opened capable of storing the rolled packing cord; an open/close lid capable of covering the opening of the container body in detachable engagement; a packing cord take-out hole formed on the lid and capable of drawing out the cord put in the container body; a handle integrally formed with or fixedly attached to the open/close lid; and a cutter mounted in a V-shaped dent formed on the handle to be capable of cutting the cord drawn out from the take-out hole.
