Title:
PACKING MATERIAL FOR GAS-LIQUID CONTACT APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS59145035
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make it possible to obtain a large gas-liquid contact area, by mutually arranging the same outer diameter pipes of a first pipe group and a second pipe group each having pipes which are mutually arranged in parallel on one flat surface at center-to-center intervals thereof in a zigzag pattern while bringing each pipe center-to- center interval to a specific value.

CONSTITUTION: A packing material is constituted of a first pipe group comprising same outer diameter pipes 4a, 4b,W mutually arranged in parallel on one flat plane and center-to-center equal intervals 8 and a second pipe group having such arrangement that pipes 5a, 5b,W each having an outer diameter same to that of each pipe of the first pipe center-to-center intervals in the same direction on one flat plane parallel to that of the first pipe group. In this case, pipes of these first and second pipe groups are attached in such arrangement that they are superposed in a zigzag pattern and the above mentioned each center-to-center interval 8 is set within a range of two times of each pipe diameter 9. That is, as the packing material in a gas-liquid contact apparatus such as a line-gypsum process waste gas desulfurization apparatus, a packing material reduced in scale adhesion and capable of obtaining a large gas-liquid contact area is obtained and the reduction in the packing part volume of the gas-liquid contact apparatus is enabled.
