PURPOSE: To provide the subject packing useful as a sliding and sealing material keeping the air tightness and having improved durability by compounding the powder of a material having a goon sliding property with a crude rubber material in a specific ratio.

CONSTITUTION: 100 pts.wt. of a crude rubber material for packings is compounded with ≥10 pts.wt. of the powder of a substance having a good sliding property, such as a fluororesin, (e.g. Teflon powder or silicone powder). The mixture is kneaded, vulcanized and subsequently molded into a desired shape to provide the objective packing.
