To provide a pallet separating device capable of speedily separating a sheet group and a pallet from each other by preventing collapse of the sheet group formed of a plurality of rectangular sheet materials stacked.
This pallet separating device is furnished with a loading part 5 to input and load the pallet 2 on which the sheet group is loaded, a pallet discharging part 7 provided on one side of the loading part 5 and a sheet group discharging part 6 provided on the opposite side of the pallet discharging part 7 through the loading part 5. A transferring and placing means (transfer conveyor 12) to advance and retreat toward the loading part 5 from the sheet group discharging part 6, to push out the pallet 2 of the loading part 5 to the pallet discharging part 7 and to support the sheet group 3 by intruding below the sheet group 3 when it advances and to transfer and place the supported sheet group 3 onto the sheet group discharging part 6 when it retreats is provided.
