To provide a panel carrier device and a panel carrying method capable of stably carrying a wide variety of panels including a large panel.
An suction block 24 is installed on an extended part 23 free to move by extending the slit type extended part 23 in the carrying direction of the glass panel from a panel supporting part 4a provided on a placing table 4 to double-support edge parts of the glass panel from the lower surface side on a panel carrier mechanism 3 of the panel carrier device to assemble a display panel by joining a base on the panel. The suction block 24 is moved and provided at a position suitable for suction and holding of the glass panel by moving the suction block 24 along the extended part 23 in accordance with the size of the glass panel in changing the type of the glass panel to be an object. Consequently, it is possible to stably carry a wide variety of panels including the large panel.
