To allow an easy jointing work and improve the appearance of a jointed part by applying the constitution that a jointing frame material is laid between the peripheral side surface plates of panels formed via a core material, an engagement recess is formed on the surface plate of the frame material, and a jointed part is covered with a cover material, with the panels jointed to each other by means of fixing means.
A core 2 is provided between a pair of surface plates and jointing frame materials 10 are attached to the jointed peripheral parts of the surface plates 1. Each of the jointing frame materials 10 has two rows of connection parts 13 projected from the upper and lower parts of the connection side wall 12 of a hollow base 11, and the surface of the vertical connection part 13 is formed to have a cutout part 14 for welding. Also, a recessed groove type of engagement recess 16 is formed on the surface plate of the frame material 10 along an external direction. Then, the connection part 13 of the frame material 10 is kept in contact with a panel joint and weld 15 is applied to the cutout part 14 for fixing. Thereafter, a cover material 20 is engaged with the engagement recess 16 for covering the jointed part of the panels. In this case, the cover material 20 is formed out of a base 21 having U-shaped cross section, and a flange 22 projected from the lower end of the base 21. According to this construction, a joint can be externally covered for improving appearance.
