Title:
WATERPROOFING STRUCTURE FOR EXTERIOR WALL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH10169024
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To prevent the crack or separation of tiles by fitting a water drip material to a non-covered part and covering the upper part of the water drip material with a decorative panel, regarding the waterproofing structure of an exterior wall having a covered part with the surface covered with tiles, and a non-covered part without being covered with tiles at a position above the covered part.

Earthenware tiles 12 are bonded to the surface of an exterior material 113 and an aluminum water drip material 13 is provided above the tiles 12. In addition, the substrate 131 of the water drip material 13 is secured to an exterior wall material 11 with a nail at a position above the tiles 12. Also, the upper ends of the tiles 12 are covered with the lateral piece 133 and the vertical piece 134 of the water drip material 13, thereby keeping the bonded surface of the tiles free from a concern about the infiltration of rainwater flowing down on the surface of the exterior material 22 above. In this case, the upper half of a waterproofing sheet 3 is clamped between a head joint 23 and an exterior material 223, and the lower half thereof is positioned between the lower end reverse side of a decorative material mounting substrate 241 and the upper end of the substrate 131 of the water drip material 13. As a result, a boundary end or the fitting end of the water drip material 13 is kept free from a concern about the infiltration of rainwater flowing on the surface of the exterior material 223, thereby preventing the occurrence of the crack and separation of the tiles 12.
