Abstract:
This underpants-type absorbent article (1) is provided with: a side seal part that is equipped with an absorbent body (2) fixed to an exterior body in such a manner as to bridge between a ventral-side exterior body (3A) and a dorsal-side exterior body (3B), and that is formed by joining rims on both sides of the respective exterior bodies. The absorbent body is provided with an absorber (5) comprising an absorbent sheet (51) that is equipped with a textile sheet and polymer particles. The dorsal-side exterior body (3B) is provided with a dorsal-side extension part (39) that extends from a lower end (Sa) of the side seal part. The dorsal-side extension part is provided with a dorsal-side stretching region (X1) that is stretchable along a lateral direction (Y). The absorber is provided with, at a region where the dorsal-side stretching region and the absorber overlap in the lateral direction, an auxiliary layer (52) that overlaps the absorbent sheet in a central area (5A) in the lateral direction. The central area is configured to have a higher rigidity compared with lateral areas (5B) adjacent to the central area.
