PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict bending of a shaft of a feed roller for preventing vibration or noise during action.
SOLUTION: A part where bending is generated in a center shaft 4 of a feed roller 1 is pressed by a holding member 16, so bending of the center shaft 4 by force (a) transmitted through a document (D) to the feed roller 1 is restricted during separation action. Genertion of noise by vibration at the center shaft 4 generated by bending of the feed roller 1 with the center shaft 4 as it is pulled by rotation with a carrying roller 5 can thus be prevented.
