A paper sensor that outputs a voltage corresponding to a distance from a leading end in a conveying direction of passing paper is arranged at a more downstream side in the paper conveying direction than a fixing part. When the output voltage V of the paper sensor is equal to or higher than a threshold Vx, a controller sets a roller pair 70 comprising a hard roller 71 and a soft roller 72 constituting a curl removing device to a position of a pattern 1. When the output voltage V is lower than the threshold Vx and higher than a threshold Vy, the controller sets the roller pair 70 to a position of a pattern 2 (home position). When the output voltage V is equal to or lower than the threshold Vy, the controller 100 sets the roller pair 70 to a position of a pattern 3.
