Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feed roller which has a double layer structure fitting an inner layer directly into the cylinder of an outer layer without using an adhesive, is excellent in various characteristics thanks to the double layer structure, and besides, hardly generates slip between the inner and outer layers despite formation of the outer layer by an urethane-based thermoplastic elastomer.SOLUTION: A paper feed roller includes a roller body of a double layer structure which has an inner layer 7 composed of a rubber such as IIR ( Isobutylene-isoprene rubber) and an outer layer 6 composed of an urethane-based thermoplastic elastomer and is configured by fitting the inner layer directly into a cylinder of the outer layer without using an adhesive. A type A durometer hardness of the outer layer is made to be in a range of 40 or more to 65 or less, and a type A durometer hardness of the inner layer is made to be in a range of more than 10 to 25 or less.
