Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding device which prevents the fact that a rear edge guide 504 for positioning a rear edge of a paper bundle stored in a paper storage part 503 is properly positioned from being erroneously detected.SOLUTION: A handling movement by means of air with respect to a paper bundle on a paper storage part 503 is performed, when multi-feeding of paper occurs, a printing job is completed or interrupted, thereafter, such a detection movement that a rear edge guide 504 is properly positioned or not is executed and, when the handling movement is not performed or multi-feeding does not occur, such a detection movement that the rear edge guide 504 is properly positioned or not is not executed.
