Abstract:
To provide a paper sheet processor and a paper sheet processing method capable of preventing the occurrence of a sealing failure due to a paper sheet in a storage bag coming into contact with a heating member when sealing an opening of the storage bag, even in the case where a stiff paper sheet is stored in the storage bag.SOLUTION: A control part 80 of a paper sheet processor (e.g., a banknote processor 10) stops the operation of storing a paper sheet in a storage bag (e.g., a banknote storage bag 34) on the condition that the number of paper sheets received by number information receiving means 90 is smaller than the predetermined number m, if a distance between a pressing part (e.g., a push-in plate 46) and a receiving part (e.g., each stage 40) becomes larger than a predetermined distance h when a paper sheet (e.g., a banknote) stored in the storage bag supported by a supporting part (e.g., each holding member 36) is pressed toward the receiving part by the pressing part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
