Abstract:
To provide a compact paper shredder with high cutting performance using a small output motor.
The paper shredder has: a base on which paper is mounted; a pressing member for holding the paper on the base; a cutter moving slantly on the surface of the paper on the base for cutting the paper; and a driving means for driving the cutter. The driving means has: a motor; a wire for transmitting rotation of the motor to the cutter; and a stationary pulley and a movable pulley around which the wire is wound. The wire, the stationary pulley and the movable pulley constitute a speed reducer.
