Abstract:
To provide a paperboard product produced by using a high-consistency pulp slurry containing a large amount of crosslinked cellulose fibers liable to cause the clogging of a screen.
The paperboard is produced by using a high-consistency pulp slurry containing crosslinked cellulose fibers in high level. The fibers are dispersed in a screen by a rotor of the screen, passed through a screen basket having a hole diameter of ≥2 mm and formed on a porous substrate. Another kind of slurry of ordinary cellulose fiber is applied to at least one surface of the 1st slurry in the forming stage and the obtained web is dehydrated and dried to obtain the paperboard.
