Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make all gearshifts smoothly performable via a one-way clutch and forward five-speed gear shifting attainable, by adding two one-way clutches and one hydromechanical clutch to a parallel-axis type automatic transmission. CONSTITUTION:When a first hydraulic clutch C1 is clamped and a first mechanical clutch DC1 is set to the L side and a second mechanical clutch DC2 to the F side, respectively, it comes to a first gear state, and when a second hydraulic clutch C2 is clamped, it comes to a second gear state. Next, when a fourth hydraulic clutch C4 is clamped, it comes to a third gear state, and furthermore when the clutch C4 is released while the clutch C1 is clamped and the clutch DC1 is selected to the H side, it comes to a fourth gear state. Then, when the clutch C4 is clamped from the fourth gear state, it can be made into a five gear state, successively when the clutch C1 is clamped and simultaneously the clutch DC2 is selected to the R side, it comes to a backward state. Thus, since two one-way clutches are combined together and they are made so as to act on gear shifting, gear shifting control is simplied and, what is more, forward five speeds are made attainable.
