Abstract:
To provide a parking assist apparatus for enabling parking even if an obstacle is present in a parking partition.
When width of the parking space for a vehicle 7 is made narrow due to the presence of the obstacle 20, a side monitor camera 11 detects obstacle information such as a position and a size, etc., of the obstacle 20. Obstacle information detected by the side monitor camera 11 is transmitted to obstacle information acquiring means 14. Travelling locus altering means 5 allows a second travelling locus L2of a reference parking sequence L stored in parking locus storage means 4 to be altered into an altered second travelling locus L2', based on the obstacle information acquired by the obstacle information acquiring means 14 and parking partition information stored in parking partition information storage means 15, so that the vehicle 7 can move into a space between one side wall SW and the obstacle 20.
