To provide a parking lot management system of a simple structure in which parking situations in the parking lot can be displayed to inform a parking lot user of it, a cable does not need to be laid inside the parking lot, and feeble radio waves can be used.
The parking lot management system 1 comprises: a first detector 5 which is arranged in a specified parking space 3 sectioned inside the parking lot 2, detects presence/absence of a vehicle 4 inside the parking space 3, and transmits detection information; a second detector 6 which is arranged within the parking space 3 where the first detector 5 is not arranged, detects the presence/absence of the vehicle 4 inside the arranged space 3, and transmits the detection information; a control unit 8 for converting the received information into display information; and a display 7 for displaying the presence/absence of the vehicle 4 in each parking space 3 inside the parking lot 2 on the basis of the display information transmitted by the control unit 8. The parking lot management system 1 successively performs relay propagation of the detection information generated by the first detector 5 and the second detector 6 via radio communication.
