This parking support device for supporting the parking is provided with an imaging means 20 capturing the image of a vehicle backward area, an obstacle information acquisition means 70 acquiring obstacle information around the vehicle in a process where the vehicle reaches a parking start position, and a parking space detecting means 41 detecting the parking space based on the obstacle information acquired by the obstacle detecting means; and is characterized in specifying the parking space intended by the driver based on the positional relation between the captured space captured by the imaging means and the parking space detected by the parking space detecting means.
