Abstract:
To approximate ship's propulsion performance to a conventional airfoil stern duct, and to provide a stern duct whose production efficiency is dramatically improved, and a ship with the stern duct attached.
Cylindrical stern ducts 10a-10c to be attached to the front side of a propeller 2 of the ship are characterized by being formed of one or more flat planes or boards whose sectional forms are rectangular (for example, substantially oblong, or substantially trapezoidal), or which have all sides in a linear shape.
