Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking support device capable of reducing recalculation of a route.SOLUTION: A parking support device comprises a route determination section determining a route from an initial position of a vehicle to a target position at the time of supporting of parking of the vehicle to a parking area. The route determination section comprises: a first generating section generating first circumference having a turning radius at the time of minimum turning of the vehicle as a radius and being in contact with a straight line running through the target position in a traveling direction of the vehicle, the first circumference having a part functioning as a part of the route; and a second generating section generating a second circumference being in contact with the straight line extending in the traveling direction of the vehicle passing through the initial position and in contact with the first circumference, the second circumference having a part functioning as a part of the route continuing to the part of the first circumference. The parking support device further comprises a recalculation determination section generating a third circumference having a predetermined radius with a position nearest to the route in an obstacle disposed ahead of the vehicle at the time of the parking of the vehicle as a center, and determining whether or not recalculation of the route is necessary based on the first circumference and the third circumference.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 14
