PURPOSE: To ensure accurate counting by adsorbing parts aligned in a row and sequentially transported one by one with adsorbing and transporting means, providing part detaching means for detaching the adsorbed part and detecting the part the moment the part is detached.

CONSTITUTION: A drum 50 comprises adsorption elements 51, 52, a plurality of ring-shaped permanent magnets 53 clamped between the adsorption elements 51, 52 and bolts 54 piercing the central holes of the respective ring-shaped permanent magnets 53 to fasten and fix both adsorption elements 51, 52. The drum is fixed to an output shaft 14A of a stepping motor through a mount plate 55. In this arrangement, parts 60 supplied from an aligning chute 8 are sequentially adsorbed to the outer peripheral edge of the drum 50. In this case, if the drum 50 is rotated at high speed, the drum is turned in an angle larger than the center angle of the drum 50 corresponding to the width of one part 60 before the following part 60 is to be adsorbed after one part 60 is adsorbed to the drum 50, thereby adsorbing parts 60 one by one.
