Ammonia not more than 800 ppm to weight of an organic binder is included. A paste type electrode is desirably manufactured by having a process of adjusting paste containing an active material, an organic binder and ammonia not more than 800 ppm to weight of the organic binder and a process of filling the paste in a conductive core body.
