Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a pattern conforming cutter capable of automatically cutting in the lateral direction a sheet material in which a lateral striped pattern at regular intervals in the longitudinal direction is formed in a colour different from the other part so as to highly accurately conform to a required boundary line of the lateral striped pattern.
CONSTITUTION: A discriminating device 24 and a cutting device 25 positioned over a sheet material supported on a longitudinal feed mechanism 5 are rectilinearly moved in the lateral direction by a lateral feed mechanism 29, and dislocation in the longitudinal direction of a boundary line of a lateral striped pattern to be cut of the sheet material by meandering and the like is detected by the discriminating device 24. Then, at least either of a cutter 44 of the cutting device 25 and the sheet maternal 51 is moved in the longitudinal direction so as to correct dislocation, and the cutter 44 of the cutting device 25 is automatically conformed to the boundary line of the lateral striped pattern to be cut, so as to automatically cut off the sheet material 51 in the lateral direction.
