Abstract:
To save labor and time in weaving process and lower the cost, and impart novel fashion to traditional patterned woven fabrics (Tsumugi).
A splashed patterned woven fabric 26 having an interlaced splashed pattern 27 is produced by weaving a kind of wefts 32 in which ground parts and splashed pattern parts are continued into wefts. The wefts consist of weft top yarns in which weft top yarns 28 of ground color and weft top yarns 29 of splashed pattern are combined, and weft bottom yarns in which weft bottom yarns 30 of ground color and weft bottom yarns 31 of splashed pattern are combined.
