Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paving screed having an extensible screed portion which is easily adjustable in height relative to a basic screed.
SOLUTION: The paving screed for a paver includes a basic screed 7 and at least one transversely extensible screed portion 8 connected to the basic screed by a hydraulically operable tensioner, with the height of the extensible screed portion 8 adjusted by a height adjusting device consisting of a vertical spindle connected to the extensible screed portion and held on the basic screed in such a manner as to be rotatable relative to the basic screed. The spindle is adjustable by a common driving motor and brings about the release of the hydraulically operating tensioner only for the duration of operating time through the operation of the driving motor. The extensible screed portion is additionally connected to the basic screed by a spring-biased screw.
