Abstract:
To provide a depression force detection mechanism for an accelerator pedal which can be retrofitted to an operation pedal, has versatility, and can detect, for example, that an abnormal depression force is applied to the accelerator pedal in a wide range.SOLUTION: A pedal depression force detecting mechanism is characterized by comprises: a membrane type switch 12 arranged along a face of an accelerator pedal 30; a top plate 14 fixed to the accelerator pedal 30 so as to cover the membrane type switch 12; and a load buffer plate 16 positioned between the membrane type switch 12 and the top plate 14, wherein: the membrane type switch 12 is provided with a plurality of contacts 12a1 and 12b1 along a surface direction; and the load buffering plate 16 has a load buffering portion 16a arranged to straddle the plurality of contacts 12a1 and 12b1 provided on the membrane type switch 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
